There's rumors that Luther used half wound at Folsom, i tried half and didnt get the Folsom sound... However, with actial flats and the distortion cranked a bit i got it

This sounds great. You could add some filters to make it sound more 50s-like, and possibly buy some mics and different equipment they used back then(in the future).

I like the esquire better too! Not that I dislike the Jazzmaster sound! It is nice to!

You would have been a much better choice for a Luther replacement than Bob Wooten, but of course you would have been I guess not even born yet. I was fortunate to see Luther twice in Oakland, 1967 and San Carlos, the Circle Star, must have been 68. Or he would have been a ghost.

Johnny would be proud!

Awesome video. The guitar sound of the amp or Luther Perkins playing tone and effect can also be heard in a Fender mustang LT25 amplifier by just putting the country setting or at least a very similar sound.
